Type II Zine Project

Brief:

A seven-week design challenge where students reflect on their current creative practice and purpose — and introduce themselves to the design and creative community. They are asked to explore designer practice frameworks and consider the emerging direction of their own practice. Typography, grid/organizational systems, and poster/zine, and on-screen formats provide opportunities for students to create engaging spaces for storytelling across multiple channels. Designers also have the option to build on fundamental digital fabrication skills in vinyl cutting for related vinyl applications.

Design Challenges:

  • Identify Design Modality
  • Research said design modality
  • Internally reflect and find my design process
